He was in Norwalk on Thursday, May 2 handing out donuts to show his thanks for the work they do.
Tyler Curach, known as "Donut Boy," began handing out donuts to police across the country after giving a few to officers in his hometown while grocery shopping with his mother.
When he asked her why they were so happy, she explained that police are not always appreciated or respected.
Tyler thought about that for a while and decided he wanted to raise money to make sure that officers across the country get as many donuts as possible so they feel appreciated and honored.
Since then he has traveled the country with his parents and handed out more than 75,000 donuts in 41 states at police departments in just two years.
On his Facebook page, Tyler thanked Frank Russo owner of Russo's on the Bay for donating enough money for him to purchase 17 dozen donuts for area police.
He also thanked "Jim" at the Norwalk Dunkin' Donuts on Main Street for the 20 percent discount.
Norwalk officers were busy chowing down.
Tyler, by the way, wants to be a police officer when he grows up and work with a K9 Unit.
